Prices
Bed & Breakfast prices are £60 to £70
per person per night for a twin room room, double room or family
room, or for a room occupied by a single person. Children under
ten years old are charged at half price.
Deposits
A deposit of £20 per room booked for each night
booked is required for a reservation. Examples: one room for one
night, £20 deposit; two rooms for one night, £40 deposit;
one room for three nights, £60 deposit.
The balance of the price of the accommodation is payable
on arrival at Minard Castle, and may be paid in cash or by credit
card.
Guests can optionally pay the full price of the accommodation
at the time of booking.
Availability
Minard Castle Bed & Breakfast is open from the
beginning of April (or Easter if it is early) until the end of
October, and bookings can be made at any time. In 2007 we re-open
on Friday 30th March.

During the winter we may have some bed & breakfast
accommodation available, but we do not accept advance bookings.
Please contact us the day before or on the same day to see if
we have availability. We do not have any accommodation available
over Christmas and New Year.
Pets
We regret to say that we do not accept pets in the
house.
PLEASE NOTE: At
Minard Castle we offer 4 star bed & breakfast for a small
number of guests at a time. Minard Castle
is not a hotel, so we do not offer lunches, afternoon teas or
dinners. There is no bar, and we are not
licensed to sell any alcoholic drinks. Minard
Castle is a totally non-smoking house.

Prices
Self-Catering prices vary according to date, and range
from £140 to £390 per week. The booking week is from
4pm on a Saturday to 10am on the following Saturday. For the price
in any week, please phone or e-mail us with
the dates required.
Deposits
For Self-Catering a deposit of £100 is required
at the time of booking, and the balance is payable four weeks
before the start of the holiday. For holidays starting within
four weeks, the full payment should be made when booking. Payment
can be made by credit card, by cheque drawn on a British bank,
or in cash.

Pets
We may at our discretion accept pets in our self-catering
accommodation if we are satisfied there will be no problems!
Payments
We accept most popular credit cards (but NOT American
Express). Payments can be made online using our secure Availability
and Online Reservations page.
Alternatively, payments can be made by cheque from
within Britain for reservations for either Bed & Breakfast
or Self-Catering accommodation. Cheques should be made payable
to R. Gayre. Or we can take credit card details by phone, fax
or mail. It is not advisable to send these details in an e-mail
as it is not secure.
Unless you have arranged it with us first, please do
not pay money through a bank. A bank may charge a large commission
both to you and also to us!
Cancellations
Deposits are not refundable unless the chosen dates
are unavailable, in which case payments will be returned at once.
However, if sufficient notice of a cancellation is given, and
we are able to re-let the accommodation for the same dates, we
will refund the payment. Any costs to us, such as credit card
commission, will be deducted from the amount refunded. We recommend
that guests take out holiday insurance to cover their costs in
the event that they have to cancel. We try to be considerate and
understanding about cancellations or date changes, as we would
rather have satisfied customers than ones who feel they have been
exploited!
If you find you have to cancel, please let us know
immediately. We may be able to re-let your accommodation. Otherwise,
you are liable for half the outstanding balance of the cost of
the accommodation if you cancel within a month of your arrival
date, or if you cancel within one week of your arrival date you
are liable for the full amount.
Non-arrivals
Guests who have booked but fail to arrive (or do arrive
but do not stay, or do not stay for the full duration of the booking)
are liable for the full cost of the booking, unless we are able
to re-let all the accommodation reserved by them. If we are able
to re-let, but only to a lesser number of guests, or for a shorter
period, those failing to complete their stay are liable for the
difference.
